"Tag-Along" Event Description:
This is a trip to the Upper Sacramento river centered around Dunsmir to accompany and fish with Joey Tchang.
This is a non-guided trip so each angler will be on their own to determine the best style and approach for the waters of the Upper Sac, but it is a great high stick and indicator nymphing river, has good pools and runs for streamers, as well as providing opportunities for dry fly activity throughout the day. There are over 45 miles of the river that are accessible either directly from I-5, or the many riverside campgrounds from Lake Shasta up through Dunsmuir and Shasta City so there is a lot of river diversity.
Each individual will be responsible for making their own arrangements for camping, accommodations and food. Joey is staying at the Cedar Lodge in Dunsmuir which is very affordable and a long time favorite for those that wish to stay in the same location.
