How to Fish Bass Workshop

For those who haven’t done a lot of bass on a fly, Martin Plotkin and Daniel Kitts are having a short chat (1 to 2 hour) at 10:30AM on the patio at Martin's house. For directions and more information, contact Martin at angler@outlook.com.

    Gear and rigging,
    Flies
    Where to find fish, stripers versus bass,
    Cast and retrieve.

Then, if you’re interested, bring your tying equipment and we’ll tie a clouser and a popper.

Materials for clouser:
   Size 2 to 2/0, 30º jig hook or other long shank hook.
   White and colored bucktail or wig hair (best colors are chartreuse, pink, yellow, gray, brown)
    Lead bar bell eyes
    Flashabou tinsel in silver or other bright
    Heavy thread – white

Material for Popper
    Size 1/0 to 2/0, Aberdeen hook
    Foam hair curler about ½” diameter or larger
    Thin flat foam
    Sexy or rubber legs
    Shoe goo or Soft-tex
    Lead wire
