The distance from Fremont to Elk Prairie State Park is approximately 410 miles, going through Redding. Ken will be staying at Elk Prairie State Park. The Big Lagoon is located 27 miles from the campground.

Accommodations and Food:
Participants are responsible for their own food and accommodations.
Gear and Tackle Recommendations:
Rod & line weights/types: 8 1/2 to 9' 5-7WT , with large arbor reel. Suggested floating lines with sink tips.
Leaders and tippet: 7-1/2' 4X for Nymphing and dry flies; 8# for trolling
Other gear: Waders and boots. Water craft are suggested.
Flies: Suggested patterns include streamers(small clousers), Nymphs (Prince, Copper John, Black Stone, midges), and dry (Elk Hair Caddis).
