December Meeting - James Kibler and Fishing in New Mexico

At this month’s meeting James Kibler will bring us the diversity of New Mexico's fly-fishing landscape. James will provide valuable insights into the waters that define New Mexico, including the renowned San Juan River, celebrated for its challenging and rewarding angling opportunities.

James Kibler's passion for fly fishing began in the Driftless Region of Wisconsin. His dedication to the sport led him to pursue professional guiding in 2010 on the Gunpowder River tailwater in Maryland. Over the years, James has demonstrated remarkable versatility, successfully catching 18 different salmonid species across hundreds of rivers throughout 21 U.S. states and several international locations. His extensive experience has provided him with a deep understanding of various fishing environments and techniques.

Currently, James leads fishing trips in northern New Mexico, collaborating with organizations such as Truchas Outdoors and The Reel Life Fly Shop.
