Perdigon Euro Nymphs

Fishing and Tying the Frenchie Fly ...This month will be an introduction to tying Perdigon style Euro Nymphs. We will be tying three flies: Spanish Bullet Perdigon, Rainbow Warrior and Thread Frenchie, three simple flies that get down fast. The key to Perdigon style flies are thin bodies. A quality thread that you can unwind to tie a thin body or cord up to tighten for ribbing really helps. Materials are listed below. I have plenty of materials to share if needed.

Spanish Bullet Perdigon Bead: Copper slotted tungsten bead, 3.2mm Hook: Size 14 jig hook Thread: 7/0 or 8/0 light olive thread and black thread Tail: Coq de Leon, Pardo or other fine fibers Flash: medium pearl tinsel Thin UV resin

Rainbow Warrior Perdigon Bead: Silver slotted tungsten bead, 3.2mm Hook: Size 14 jig hook Thread: 7/0 or 8/0 red thread Tail: Coq de Leon, Pardo or other fine fibers Flash: medium pearl tinsel Thin UV resin

Thread Body Frenchie Bead: Gold slotted tungsten bead, 2.3mm Hook: Size 16 jig hook Thread: 8/0 olive thread Tail: Coq de Leon, Pardo or other fine fibers Ribbing: brassie or small, brown or copper wire Hot spot: Pink UV ice dub Thin UV resin
