CalTrout’s 2026 Field Tour Series
CalTrout is going on tour, and bringing you with them! Kicking off CalTrout's 2026 Project Field Tour series is an on-the-ground visit to the Sacramento Valley — CalTrout hopes you will join them.
This tour is at the Fremont Weir and Knaggs Ranch in the Yolo Bypass, where California Trout and its partners are restoring floodplain habitat that is already changing outcomes for salmon. You’ll spend the day in the field with Jacob Katz, Senior Scientist, and Jacob Montgomery, Senior Project Manager, who will walk you through the science, strategy, and persistence behind this work.
Where: Sacramento Valley; Meet at the CalTrout Woodland Office, 1059 Court St, Suite 119, Woodland, CA 95645, (Google Maps)
When: Thursday, March 5, 10am - 5pm | Lunch included!
What to Expect: engaging conversation with CalTrout's staff & other CalTrout community members, real-world insights into how innovative floodplain management is changing the game, muddy boots, coveted opportunities to hold a bag of bugs (fish food!), and so much more!
